Submitting a review

You can either submit a review using the Submit tab, or when viewing a website's details by hitting the Submit your own review button.

Try to complete as much of the form as possible as this is more likely to be appreciated by other members and visitors, which could result in a further payment for your review should it exceed the quality review rating of +50.

We really do want quality reviews on CarrotReviews based on your own experiences dealing with the website in question. We reserve the right to reject any review which we don't believe are of a suitable quality or content.

Getting paid for a review

When you submit a review, we recommend that you register to become a member of CarrotReviews, this means you can choose different payment options including payment to your bank account (if you have an Australian bank account).

If you prefer not to become a member of CarrotReviews, you can still submit a review, you need to complete the PayPal email field on the submit form so that we can pay you when your review is approved by our moderation team. PayPal payouts are also subject to the minimum payout amount, currently A$10.00. Provided you use the same PayPal email address on subsequent reviews we will be able to ensure you are paid for all of your reviews when you earn more than the minimum.

When your review is approved by our moderation team you will recieve credit at the appropriate rate, currently A$3.00 for the first review and A$1.00 for subsequent reviews. Additionally if your review score exceeds the qulaity review threshold, currently +50, you will also recieve an additional credit of A$10.00.

I have submitted a review but can't see it on the website

At this time our moderation team needs to approve each review, and possibly make changes, just to correct any spelling and grammar errors.

If you have submitted a review which was published on the website, if members and visitors rate down your review then when the score is voted to below -10, your review will no longer be shown on CarrotReviews.

Why has my review been rejected

When considering a review submitted to us we take several things into consideration, this includes the quality and validity of the review and also the content, quality and type of website being reviewed. If we're not happy with any aspect of the review or the webiste we will reject your review.

By keeping your reviews genuine, verifiable (by providing your order number or account reference), appropriate and of high quality by reviewing useful websites then your chances of having your review approved will be greatly improved.

We're looking for genuine customer reviews of websites that sell products and/or services direct to the general public.

Please check the What can't I review section above for the type of sites we're no longer accepting reviews for.
